“Lies, Damned Lies, and Statistics”? Rhetoric, Spin, and Discourse in the Political Landscape
trackchanges, the postgraduate journal of the Faculty of Arts and Humanities at the University of Sheffield, is preparing its 13th issue for publication in summer 2020. Our Call for Papers this year was an invitation to all postgraduate researchers to consider their discipline and interests in the light of current, and timeless, debates about the nature of political debate. What is acceptable? What is becoming of those in high office? Are things worse or better now than they have been, and what criteria should inform that conversation?
